If you are new to soft focus basecoats, they are a line of tinted basecoats (yes, it has basecoat properties) to help conceal and blur your nail line. These basecoats were designed for use with sheer polishes but can be used with any polish. They allow you to use less of your polish (especially your rare bottles) and build up to opacity quicker without the extra step of a base color. This is not an opaque creme base. If you have natural nail ridges and texture, it may look streaky due to the ridges before applying the polish over them. These base coats apply best when not overworked.
